Center for Urban Informatics, Technology and PolicY (CITY) at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) aims to transform the advances in technological innovations in data gathering, data analytics, and data-driven decision making for making policies for sustainable urban development with a focus on developing countries. As urban areas to grow, it has become crucial that we plan and manage them in ways that are sustainable and will not harm the environment or the well-being of the people who live there. This means reducing the risks of climate change, minimizing waste and pollution, and promoting equity and social inclusion.

By strongly emphasizing research, innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration, the CITY Center at LUMS aims to work to use informatics, technology, and data analytics to catalyze development of evidence-based policy design for addressing problems related to urban mobility, sprawl, environment, and health.
