I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan. I am associated with the Center of Urban Informatics, Technology, and Policy (CITY) at LUMS.
My research interests broadly lie in machine learning, signal processing, optimization, and network science. My research group focuses on various aspects of designing intelligent systems whose behavior is accurate, reliable, interpretable, and trustworthy under real-world deployment conditions.
I received my Ph.D. in Electronics and Telecommunication from Politecnico di Torino, Italy, in 2013, where I later served as a Postdoctoral Fellow for one year before joining LUMS.
Feel free to reach out to talk about anything through my email at tahir@lums.edu.pk. I also maintain an open-door policy for LUMS students. Drop by to discuss academics and/or research opportunities in our group.
