The objective of this research thread is vehicle route optimization for better solid waste management. Efficient vehicle route optimization plays a crucial role in improving the waste management system by reducing the travel distance and time for waste collection vehicles.
We have developed a state of the art model to optimize routes for solid waste vehicles, with the aim of improving the efficiency of waste management systems, by optimizing waste collection routes, reducing travel distance and time, and minimizing operational costs.
By integrating various optimization algorithms and techniques, the intention is to enhance waste collection and transportation, while minimizing the negative impact of waste on the environment and public health. The ultimate goal is to create sustainable waste management systems that are cost-effective, efficient, and responsive to the needs of urban areas.
